We are sad to share the news that at Kelly’s court hearing last week the DA was unwilling to negotiate a deal with her attorneys. The judge ordered this hearing as a “settlement conference” and had instructed the DA not to agree to it unless she was willing to talk seriously about a deal. So Kelly and her team of advocates and attorneys were disappointed by the DA’s refusal to consider a deal for Kelly’s release on time served after more than 20 years in prison for a crime she did not commit. As we all know, Kelly’s case is one of extreme abuse by both her abuser and the criminal legal system.
Kelly’s next court hearing will be in May, when the judge will hear oral arguments from both sides. Please stay tuned for more ways to support Kelly’s release. Free Kelly!!! #SurvivedAndPunished
