S&P 2020 Annual Review now available for download!
As we close out 2020, a year marked by painful collective struggles and immense loss, Survived & Punished is deeply humbled by the outpouring of support we received in the past year. With your help, we have strengthened our commitment to decriminalize efforts to survive domestic and sexual violence, support and free criminalized survivors, and abolish all forms of gender violence, including policing, prisons, and deportations.
In this report, we review some of the biggest Survived & Punished highlights from 2020, including organizing mutual aid projects to support survivors behind bars, organizing direct actions calling for mass release, leading art-based organizing to uplift criminalized survivors and their stories, and hosting different political education and training events to help ground our movement in more rigorous analysis of how gender violence and our systems of punishment intersect.
To all who participated or supported this work, we sincerely thank you and look forward to continuing to build together in 2021.
