Cuomo failed in many egregious ways and Governor Hochul must do better by addressing the needs of criminalized survivors! Please save that date on October 15th to join Survived and Punished NY in demanding Governor Hochul and New York State (NYS) acknowledge and atone for the ways they have abandoned so many survivors, particularly survivors they have criminalized and incarcerated. More information on how to RSVP to come!
This event will be wheelchair accessible, and there will also be a live stream of the event for those unable to attend in-person. After the press conference, we will invite you to join us for an outdoor social gathering!
Survived & Punished NY is making an effort to make this event as accessible as possible. In order to plan for the accessibility needs of attendees (both in-person and virtual), we would appreciate if you answered the following questions if you are planning to attend either the in-person event or the virtual livestream.
- Do you have any language needs such as interpretation (including ASL)? Do you need our assistance with these needs? What languages do you need interpreted?
- If you are attending virtually and would like transcription of the speakers, do you prefer CART closed-captioning or TypeWell?
- Is there anything else you would like to share that would improve accessibility for you at this event, either in-person or virtually?
Please email any answers to these questions to survivepunishnyc@gmail.com by October 4th. Thank you for sharing, we will work to the best of our ability to accommodate all accessibility needs.
