Since April 2017, Governor Brown has granted Executive Clemency (commutation) to 41 people who were sentenced to Life Without Possibility of Parole (LWOP)! This victory illustrates how efforts such as CCWP’s Drop LWOP Campaign and the organizing of Families United to End LWOP (FUEL) are creating a foundation for the commutation of all people sentenced to LWOP. Join us to learn more about organizing efforts across prison walls to free people sentenced to die in prison and end life without parole sentencing.
The Drop LWOP Town Hall will feature:
— A panel of people formerly sentenced to Life Without Parole!!
— Actions to support the Drop LWOP campaign and FUEL’s rally at the Capitol on 11/13/18
— Opportunities to support more commutations
